Ate Xiang Xiang Hunan for lunch with Shersain, my latest food obsession.π΄ We ordered their signature stir-fry pork, pumpkin shrimp and tofu stew, and a bowl of rice, which amounted to $40+. They also provide free crackers and ice cream.
Shersain gifted me a round box of chocolates from Cafe Central, Vienna! It is a famous cafe among Vienna's intellectuals and artists! Thank you!!!!
Bought a ticket using my SG Culture Pass to watch a local theatre show at Centre 42. After Rain, We Breathe explores the lived experience of pain: emotional, physical, and unseen, tracing a body’s journey through trauma, resistance, and gradual healing.
The black box was much smaller than expected, creating an intimate setting where the audience could observe the performers’ facial expressions and subtle movements up close. The 6 actors showcased their interpretations of pain in the rawest, most vulnerable form. There was very little dialogue to make sense of what was happening, so I could only infer meaning from their bizarre movements, including rolling on the floor, shouting out loud, kicking bags of chips, doing physiotherapy exercises etc.
Wore false eyelashes to church on a Sunday morning! Not only do they take lesser time than eyeshadow to apply, they enlarged my eyes by 3 times bigger. ππ No glue required too.
Sitting at the parents' area with Mingming and John even though I don't have kids π
Baby Elianna trying to snatch my Insta360 camera. She is so curious all the time!

John shared with me a word of knowledge that was released Vincent's cell sister one month ago. She sensed that someone from our tribe needed healing in the right foot. She didn't know that I just did my 3rd surgery back then and was still hospitalised. It humbled me hearing this prophetic word because God still remembers someone as insignificant as me.

Ate Xiang Xiang Hunan again with Cherie! Ordered the usual stir-fry pork, mushroom and shrimp paste stew, and walnut buns.

Visited The Albatross File exhibition at National Library, level 10. It's about the 3 months of events leading up to Singapore's separation from Malaysia on 9 Aug 1965.
Although I briefly know our backstory, it is still fascinating to know that Singapore started off as a poor, survival-driven, divided country that was 'abandoned' by Malaysia. Under the strong leadership of Lee Kwan Yew, we transformed into a first-world country and Asia's richest country in 20 years. I’m a proud Singaporean πΈπ¬π
We headed to Teamoo because I was craving bubble tea. We ended up getting Taro Mash Sago Milk and Pistachio Paste, $5.60 each. We ordered one more dish of fried shiitake mushrooms but got soggy ones instead. Still thirsty, I bought water chestnut from the supermarket.

In the dialogue session, director and performer Beverly Yuen revealed that it was a mirror of her real life, where she tore multiple ligaments in her knee and lived with an invisible injury. If you experience pain yourself, their visual performance probably resonates with you on a deep and personal level that no words could.
Joined the first session of Sing Song Social Club of 2026 at Padang, hosted by Ben, Nathan, Sandra and Aarika. At least 500 hundred participants showed up to sing Coldplay's Fix you, accompanied by a string quartet and pianist. The different melodies sounded sooooooo beautiful when harmonised together. For a moment, I felt the liberating freedom from living out one's passion and the serendipitous magic from shared creation. ✨

Visited a gallery at National Gallery. Fear No Power: Women Imagining Otherwise spotlights five Southeast Asian women artists whose practices intertwine art, life, kinship, and community.
When I was resting at this bench in National Gallery's Spine Hall, the Sing Song Social Club hosts Ben, Sandra and Aarika casually sat beside me for a minute, lol. I was too shy to take a photo.
Today's church topic was on following Jesus by Pastor Daniel Khong.
Ate lunch at Nan Yang Dao with Mingming's family. Evan cried again because we wouldn't let him snack on baby bites before the main meal. πΆ My nasi lemak portion was so huge that I couldn't finish it.

Cherie and I joked about how Malaysia may hold an exhibition called the "The Gangrene Files". "Gangrene" was the term Tunku used to describe Singapore in 1965, while "Albatross" was used by our finance minister Goh Keng Swee to describe Malaysia as a burden. π
